PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

So you’ve got you’ve session booked – so what do you need to do to get yourself best prepared?
We’ll send you full details in the booking confirmation email, but in the meantime here is some info that might be useful…
- GET EXCITED – If it’s your first studio session, you might well be feeling nervous – but there’s no need to be. We are a really supportive studio who work with artists of all abilities and experience, and aim to make the session as fun and productive as possible.
- REHEARSE – To make the most of your session time, we recommend you are as well rehearsed as possible before you arrive. Of course, there is always room to develop further once you are in the studio, but the more comfortable you are with the track(s) you’ll be working on, the more you’ll get out of the session.
- LYRICS – It’s always useful for us to have a copy of the lyrics to work from, so if you can, why not email over the lyrics prior to the session.
- TRACKS – If you already have backing tracks or stems for the session, please feel free to send these over in advance. This will save a bit of time at the start of the session, and also give us an idea of what we’ll be working on.
- DRUMS – If you are going to need to use the studio drum kit, please let us know in advance. We can set them before the session (for an additional fee) or use the first 30+ minutes of the session to get everything setup. Also let us knwo if the drummer plays left or right handed.
- FOOD & DRINK – If you are booked for a full day session, please feel free to bring food & drink for the break. We have a microwave and facilities if you want to heat food and tea/coffee is always available. There is also a supermarket 10 mins. walk away. Fresh water is also always available.
- PARKING – The studio is situation is a quiet residential street so please be considerate with parking and make sure not to obstruct neighbouring driveways, and also allow sufficient room for vehicles to pass.
- GUESTS – Please notify us in advance if you would like non-performing guests to be present during the session. Please bear in mind though that 3507 is only a small studio, so having more that 5 people (including Nick) in the studio starts to get a little crowded.
If you’ve got any other questions, please feel free to give us a ring or drop us an email – there are no stupid questions and we are very happy to help make your session the best it can be for you. once thrigh
